A Christian life coach can help you go from stuck to satisfied! Imagine having your own accountability partner, mentor, and spiritual teacher– how different would your life look?
You may have heard of the term “life coach” but have absolutely no clue what that is.
Maybe you have imagined it as something cooky or cheesy, or something only someone who has nothing better to do with their money signs up for.
But did you know people who have had a Christian life coach have had their lives completely transformed for the better?
If God is in something, His plans don’t fail!
Before we go into the benefits of having a spiritual coach, you need to know what a Christian coach helps you with in the first place!

What Does a Christian Life Coach Do?
A Christian life coach is somebody to mentor and disciple you through your relationship with God and through the trials and events of your life. A spiritual coach helps remind you of God’s truth, whenever your thoughts may become cloudy.
Coaching is different from counseling, in which counseling you spend time reflecting on your past, and coaching is geared towards your future! I love this because it fully aligns with Kingdom thinking.

Philippians 3:13
God is already in your future, sometimes we just need help seeing that.
I had an amazing life transformation after I started sessions with my Christian life coach. It was because of God and his power, but he used my coach to help lead me into this deeper place in Him. I am so thankful for that.
There are so many benefits to having a Christian spiritual life coach, but for the sake of my word count, I have narrowed the list down to the top 5 amazing benefits of using a Christian life coach!
1. Go Deeper in Your Relationship with God
We all want to go deeper in our relationship with God. And that’s because we know how powerful and loving He is! Life is so unbelievably busy nowadays, that many Christians are struggling to maintain a closeness to the Father.
With a Christian life coach, you will have set time every week to spend learning more about God, praying, and hearing his voice. Your coach will carve out space during your sessions to help you connect with God.
When you are paying for a service, you are more likely to make being there a priority! It’s a pretty neat thing to study in Psychology.
For me, I am willing to do whatever it takes to grow and maintain my relationship with Jesus.
The very most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. It’s our relationship with him where everything else stems from. Our attitude, outlook on life, joy/depression, and so many other things. How we treat our family, our spouses, all fall under the umbrella of where we are at in our relationship with God.
A Christian life coach gives you the space and the push to keep God #1 in your own life.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:5
2. Have Access To Your Own Accountability Partner
An accountability partner is someone who can keep you in check on different aspects of your spiritual journey. If you struggle with any type of addiction or sin that keeps a stronghold over you, being able to check in daily with your accountability partner is a powerful tool for stopping your behaviors. An accountability partner can also help keep you on track with where you want to be with God.
If you want your accountability partner to help remind you to read your bible every day or pray every day, that person can do that for you as well.
Your accountability partner/life coach can help come up with a personalized plan for what you would like to see in your life. It will look different for everyone.
Imagine if you had someone to text right when you needed accountability! Imagine if you could reach out to your life coach right in your moment of temptation and have them pray for you. What would that change in how you lived your life?
As iron sharpens iron, so as one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
3. Learn How to Hear God’s Voice for Yourself
Did you know that God is always speaking? He loves to talk to his children! But sometimes, we can get into our own heads, and doubt whether or not we hear Him.
Most often though, we don’t give space for God to talk to us. Christian life coaches help give you that space to hear from God. I absolutely love teaching people how to hear God’s voice! It’s completely life-changing when you can hear the thoughts of the Father over you.
And good news, his thoughts towards you are good!
My sheep hear me and know my voice.
John 10:27
4. Don’t Go Through Life Alone
Life is hard. With Christ, we know that we are never alone. We were made to have a connection with others! Many people don’t have someone that they can open up to without any judgment. A Christian life coach will listen to you and love you for exactly who you are. Everything you say to your spiritual coach will be kept in confidence — without any condemning or judging!
You are not alone. Your life coach helps hold your hand as you go throughout your journey with God.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Romans 12:15
5. Experience Deep Inner Healing
It’s important to note that a life coach is not a counselor. The main difference between coaching and therapy is that a coach helps you think about your future, and a counselor helps you work through your past.
A Christian coach might help you find areas of your life where you need deep inner healing that only God can do.
A good Christian life coach has been trained in asking you questions to help facilitate where you might need inner healing. This is after you have told your coach that you would like to work in some of these areas. It is always and completely up to the client whether they are comfortable or ready to do some inner healing with God.
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Psalm 42:5
6. Make and Achieve Goals for Your Future
As mentioned before, your coach will help you plan and execute future goals. One of the main goals of a Christian life coach is to help you go further in your relationship with Jesus, that is not the only area that your coach can help you in.
You and your coach can work through and come up with a specific plan tailored to exactly what you want out of your relationship with your coach!
Get really clear on what you want in life. God puts desires in our hearts! Oftentimes our deepest desires, if we really look down into our core being, our desires are actually aligned with who God has called you to be and what He has called you to do!
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
