5 Bible Verses on God’s Love For You
God’s love for you is so deep, that he loves you no matter what! These bible verses about God’s love in our sin show how pure his love is. Nobody is perfect. But Jesus is! He came so that we could live in connection and unity with him. He lives in us!
There is no condemnation from above. You are free to forgive yourself, and accept the love of Christ that sings over you.
1. But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
While we were sinners, He died for us. While = present tense! None of us constantly get it right, but God still sent his son to die for us, even while we were yet sinners. He paid the ultimate price, because his love is that good.
2. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving devotion for those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, he has removed our transgressions for us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.
It would be hard for me to image how high the heavens are above the earth, just like it is hard for my to imagine how great the depth of God’s love for us is. Not only that, but he has taken away our sins from us. We don’t have to hold onto them any more. We can live in freedom in God’s love for us. He views us as worthy sons and daughters. He is our Father, and a good Father loves his children.
3. Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
We are adopted as his sons and daughters! He knew about you before you were even born. And we can be viewed as pure before him, because Jesus paid the price for us. You are his son or his daughter.
4. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
You might have realized by now that these bible verses about God’s love for us are also about his forgiveness of our sins. To me, that is an expression of deep love! He nailed our sins, our shortcomings, to the cross. We don’t have to bear it anymore, He took it.
5. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
I often seen people living in guilt and shame after they mess up. This is like negating what Jesus did for you on the cross! Thank him for forgiving you, and be free. This does not mean you can engage in whatever lifestyle you want, but it simply means when we strive to have relationship and communion with God, we can approach him with confidence, and accept the forgiveness of our sins.
God Loves You No Matter What
I’m so thankful that my heavenly father loves me. Jesus didn’t come to redeem a perfect people.
We’re messy. But God sees us as something beautiful. He chose us!
He layed his life down, so that we might have an abundant life.
A life of communion with Him.
And the promise of Heaven with Him one day in the Sweet By and By.
I’m so thankful for that type of love. Worthy of being carved into a beautiful masterpiece.
You are loved. You are chosen! There is no stain on you any longer! Reflect over these beautiful verses that tell about the love of Christ.
